I am a fully insured member of the Federation
of Holistic Therapists (FHT) as well as a Reiki Master
Practitioner, trained in the traditional Usui method.
The treatments I offer at Haigh Lea are:
Reiki - Reiki is a non-intrusive hands on healing technique
which is perfectly safe and gentle. It is usually translated
from the Japanese as “Universal Life-force Energy” and
relates to the energy which is in and all around us. In a
treatment, the practitioner acts as a conduit to pass energy
to the client.
Reiki works on many different levels - it is a simple yet
powerful process. The universal energy will go where it is
required on a physical, emotional and spiritual level. Reiki
does not diagnose or cure conditions but works for the
individual’s highest good to allow self healing.
Reflexology – Reflexology is based on the discovery that
points on the feet and the hands reflect all the organs and
systems of the body so that when stimulated, there is an
improvement in nerve energy circulation in the body.
Whilst Reflexology does not claim to diagnose or cure
conditions, many health issues have been helped. Reflexology
also has a deeply relaxing effect and given that the it is
estimated that at least 75% of disease is caused by some
form of stress, then being able to have time to relax will
be a major contribution to improving overall health and
wellbeing.
Hopi Ear Candling – also known as Thermal Auricular Therapy,
this is a non-invasive treatment of the ears. Hollow candles
made from cotton coated in pure beeswax, honey extract,
sage, St John’s Wort and chamomile are gently inserted in
the ear. Once lit, they work on the chimney effect by
drawing any impurities to the surface and equalising
pressure in the head and ears.
Hopi Ear Candling benefits a number of conditions including
clearing excessive ear wax, tinnitus, sinus problems and
headaches.
