Stone Therapy Massage
Julie is a fully

Therapists). With a wealth of experience in providing
massage to suit all needs – from pure relaxation to specific
conditions - she is now pleased to be extending her services
to the Sale area. Julie is also a qualified reflexologist.
Swedish Massage
Swedish massage can be either a deeply relaxing or a
stimulating treatment. With the use of oil or other massage
medium, the Therapist manipulates the client's soft body
tissue, helping to;
relieve muscle tension and loosen joints
improve skin and muscle tone
rid the body of toxins
improve circulation
induce an overall feeling of well-being
This treatment, like many other holistic treatments is
particularly effective at tackling stress. All treatments
are tailor-made to suit your requirements/condition.
Treatments are usually of one hour duration. Half hour
back/neck/shoulder massage also available.
Stone Therapy Massage
This treatment uses hot and cold stones as part of a full
body massage routine.
The hot (water heated) stones are smooth volcanic based
basalt collected from riverbeds. The cooled stones are
polished white marble. The stones are introduced in various
combinations and patterns to specific areas of the body
depending upon the needs of the client. The hot/cold
combination stimulates blood flow and the cold reduces
inflammation and swelling and has an analgesic
(pain-relieving) effect. Also good for cellulite.
During the course of treatment, the stones are placed under
and on top of the body, as well as massaged along the skin's
surface, to help relieve muscular aches and pains and induce
relaxation. This form of bodywork can be used to alleviate
chronic and acute muscular problems.
The overall treatment has the beneficial effects of
increasing circulation and lymph drainage, which improves
cell and physical metabolism as well as producing a deeply
relaxing, meditative state. The whole experience creates an
optimum healing environment and helps the body to rebalance.
A full treatment is one and a half hours. A one hour
treatment concentrating on the back and shoulders is also
possible.
